As the Summer Sun Sets

As21 the summer sun sets, the sky turns from blue to orange, then pink, and then purple.  I know that Mom or Dad will soon call me inside, so I find a spot that’s a little hard to see and I sit in the grass.  From one spot I can see the colors of the sky through green leaves.  From another, I see the colors above the roof of our shed.

As the summer sun sets, I notice that I am very dirty.  I have been outside all day and my feet are rough and grungy with brown dirt and flecks of plants.  They look as if they belong to a wild animal and are camouflaged nicely in the dry blades of grass.

If you are a book publisher or literary agent, it would be my pleasure to share the entirety of this story with you.  Please do not hesitate to contact me.
