My Valentine’s Day

Mom tells me not to spread my germs.

But she just smooched me big and bold.

It was wet and gross and horrible.

I just know I’ll catch a cold.

She says no sugar before my lunch,

But I ate a cupcake and sucker.

Then she gave me a heart full of chocolate.

I think Mom is way off her rocker.

We have no plants or flowers.

Dad thinks they stuff up our noses.

But he just brought home a big bouquet

Of daisies and lilies and roses.

My sister is wearing nothing but pinkvalentine's day

And she got a card from a guy.

Mom got me a puppy with a red nose.

What a girly thing to buy!

So I’m holding a fluffy stuffed critter,

My face covered with lipstick schmutz.

I don’t think I like this lovey holiday.

It has made my family go nuts.

Although this might make a fun kids’ book, it is mostly just me being goofy.  If you are a book publisher or agent who finds it less silly than I do, please do not hesitant to contact me.

That’s an adorable poem. I can really see a little kid thinking this during Valentine’s Day.
